Self-insight deck

CMD Graduation Project

What is it?

Tool: Figma

The self-insight deck is an interactive WordPress plugin that visually helps adults with AD(H)D, ASD and AuDHD with self-insight and coaching. Users put together their own deck via cards as a conversation starter or reflection tool, and at the end get a visual summary of this to download or use as a conversation starter.

Small business owners can customize the content of cards and categories to better fit their own work environment and methods.

Problem & proces

The client's current website did not connect well with adults with AD(H)D, ASD or AuDHD. Due to intuitive design choices, the site looks cluttered, navigation is difficult and interactive or motivational elements are missing. This hinders visitors from starting a coaching program - or they drop out.

To make the solution more broadly applicable - including small business owners such as general practitioners or psychologists - I formulated a broader design challenge. Coaching remained the starting point, but the solution is suitable for anyone who wants to support this target group.

The goal: an accessible, visual and motivating experience that encourages self-insight and helps take the first step toward coaching or conversation. The approach is underpinned by research, interviews, surveys and feedback from users, experts and the client.

Using personas, prototypes and tests, I developed a user-friendly solution that fit both the target audience and the client's needs.

Prototype

The prototype that serves as a WordPress plugin is an approachable, visual tool that helps neurodivergent adults with self-insight and (possibly) coaching. Users put together an incentive-free card deck around themes such as self-care or social behavior, with tips and reflection questions.

Entrepreneurs can fully customize the deck to their target audience. At the end, users get a visual summary to download or take to coaching.
